Toulouse is the Capital of the Occitanie region and it’s nicknamed the ‘Pink City’ because of the local brick used for its constructions. It’s the centre of the European aerospace industry and its University, founded in 1229, is one of the oldest in Europe.
Producers visit, day 5
In Toulouse, the city invited the producers to visit a Jacobin cloister, to walk along the river Garonne, and for a cocktail inside the famous Opera House. On a buzzing Saturday afternoon, they had time for some shopping in the character-filled streets of the town centre. On their last night in Occitanie, they dined at the Grand Hôtel de l’Opéra.
